Rain
We're having a sunshower on my end of town. Apparently, the Black Forest fire is getting a lot of rain -- which is good.
I had to stop watching the Twitters for awhile. I'm a little fed-up with all the "God is good!" commentary on the rain. Really? God is good? It doesn't appear he was "good" to the 483 people who lost their homes or the two people who lost their lives. Did 483 families and two people not deserve god's love, too? Or maybe they just didn't pray hard enough.
I'll tell you what god is "good" at. He's good at smiting the conservative population of Colorado Springs and El Paso County. The two most destructive fires (in terms of property loss) in the history of the state occurred here in the last two years. Actually -- in the last 13 months.
