Warming

As the weather in the northern hemisphere begins to warm, how do your days and nights change?
Well, I wear clothes that cover less of my skin. It's easier to get up in the morning because daylight arrives earlier, but it's difficult to get to bed earlier because it stays light out longer. There are way too many things for me to list here.

In what way do your dining habits change as the weather turns warm?
They don't change all that much, to be honest. I suppose if I had a grill I might barbecue more. I need a grill.

What’s the best thing unrelated to weather about the warm-weather months?
Longer periods of daylight.

What are some strategies for dealing with those especially unbearable warm nights?
I have central AC, but dislike running it after I go to bed. That being said, there were nights toward the end of June and into July where it was vitally necessary because of the Waldo Canyon Fire. I couldn't open my windows at all because of the smoke for days on end. It would have wreaked havoc with my allergies and asthma.

Fortunately, because the humidity around these parts hovers anywhere from 10-20% it actually does cool off at night unlike places that are more humid or are just an oven like Phoenix or Las Vegas. I can normally sleep with my windows open and have a fan for warmer nights.

What words of encouragement do you have for the you of six months from now?
Don't stop working out. You'll want to climb this winter.
