I have just returned from being out of the country for three weeks. I had a letter waiting for me letting me know that I was not chosen for the job I had interviewed for. I'm not all that disappointed, I suppose. The only real plans I have now are to cat-sit until mid-August, and also to stew in the humid weather. Tomorrow I will unpack.

There's a good likelihood that I'll be in Vermillion this weekend. I haven't been there since January, so you can imagine the sorts of separation anxiety that have been plaguing me.

Does that mean you are coming to Omaha with Mark too?

Well, Mark isn't coming with me to Vermillion. I might wind up in Omaha, but only briefly on Saturday to take my aunt to the airport.

That is certainly true. Are you or Mike going to be home on Saturday? My dad and I are planning to swing by Mark's apartment to pick up some of his stuff. I bet he will be on a tight schedule, but I'm sure that I'd be able to slip away for a minute or so.

I work until 3:15, which means I will get home around 3:45, but Mike-o should be around all day.

Just for the weekend? When to when? I'm going to a going-away party in SF on Saturday evening and Royce has a family reunion on Sunday, but we should definitely make plans for Friday night/Saturday daytime/Sunday night if you're around.

I'll be home early Friday evening, so I think that sounds best. Saturday I'm going to Omaha, and then I'm leaving again sometime on Sunday. How about I give you a call once I'm home and settled?
