I love talking with my dad. He laughed today in the middle of a conversation and called me a "damn philosopher/controversialist". We went to the EMP's
Scifi exhibition after church today. A lot of books that should go on my list to read and a great deal of old movies that I need to watch. We played around with some star ships and listened to the sound of stars. There are some good movie screenings that are coming up in October (personally I'm excited for Solaris) and some presentations (Space: The Final Frontier).
For the last couple of nights I've been falling asleep to some French language review cds. I wake up in the middle of the night slowly trying to compute the words and it sounds like soft drunk singing.
p.s. Friday night was strange, strange in the teaching me how to snap my fingers and play pool way with Jon's dad at the StarLake Inn. Me and Justin also concluded that we'll follow Thoreau and build a secluded house (preferably in Canada and with a wrap around porch) and live there with our families. Smells like a commune but it won't be like that at all; I like a good deal of the fruits of capitalism to let that go. Melanie, Jon's girlfriend, will be our chemist so she'll be able to work some magic with our Merry Prankster's Wine. Oh, wouldn't that be grand. You'd see the stars too, maybe even hear them.
