Another weekend down folks. Here's what's fresh and sassy.
The continued cycle of work/sleep will not end any time soon, but with the next two weeks involving me getting the work/workout phase of my weekday done and out of the way right up front, hopefully more time will be spent on my current nerdy video project and other meaningfulness-in-life giving undertakings. The hushed talks of a supposed Wonderland trip with
mai_sheri and possible others in the near future have me in high spirits as well.
The weekend saw my first opportunities in the last few weeks to fulfill the upkeep of big city living by way of apartment maintenance, grocery foraging, and overall unwinding with my favorite hobbies. A surprise lunch with tertiary friends keep Saturday afternoon moving along without stagnation followed by an evening of simultaneous musical fulfillment and awkwardness on my own in my apartment. (Luckily no noise complaints this time) Sunday was a cloudy day of cabin fever relieved by a welcome visit by
drama_freak who, as always, brought with her a comforting degree of shared humor and lighthearted comaraderie I could only hope to receive before the beginning of another workweek. Cheers, Little Sally.
Left alone with my thoughts in the final silent moments before the Monday's set in, I find myself reflecting on a number of meaningless yet seemingly meaningful things. Why hasn't there been any major heatwaves this summer? Will Fan Expo this year be as disappointing as Anime North and my birthday party were? (by comparison to years prior of course. Both 2009 events will TEH fun when set next to say... shopping for paper towels and dish soap on a Wednesday night, cleary!), and above all, why the hell am I still single at 26 with my own Yonge Street apartment in Toronto on a thirdy to forty thousand dollar a year salery?
Midnight is an hour away, and it's more than clear that I need to take advantage of the sun not being up as quickly as I can. Goodnight everybody!
