They're not boring at all! These types of relationship-reflections in fics often move me more than the action-oriented stuff. It's the reason why I love fanfiction in the first place!

Whether it's due to the demands of the particular medium, the constraints of time, or the limits of needing to not piss off certain demographics, there are always so much emotional exploration and character development that I crave but the original material seems to only hint at. Good fanfiction gives me what the original material often does not: the in depth explorations of what goes on in the characters' minds, hearts, and bedrooms! This fic and Broken Glass, has all those things in spades! (Okay, maybe bedroom shenanigans is not a necessary component to how good a fic is, but hey it doesn't hurt!)

One of my favorite melt-worthy moments in this chapter was

Sylar reached over and gave a playful tug on one of Mohinder’s curls, letting his thumb brush against Mohinder’s jaw. The casualness with which Sylar treated Mohinder’s body as his own was as odd as it was flattering to the man. The entire day had been like this; small touches, disarming smiles, that subtle appetite behind dark eyes.

Yowza!!!

I definitely agree that the emotional aspects are some of the most riveting- otherwise I guess I wouldn't be writing this, eh? ^_~ I wanted to write these two series specifically because I saw a big gap in authors' tendency to write the huge emotional mess they are really in-depth.

I actually had this discussion with a friend- in some fandoms writing out the details of sex isn't too essential, but I see it in mylar as VERY essential. Cutting to a before and after of them having done it just doesn't do justice to the type of demand and surrender push and pull that I think they'd both mentally and emotionally experience in the process. And of course, smut's always a joy to write. ^_~

In any case, thanks so much for reading and commenting. :D Looking forward to your comments in the future.
