Life is full of surprises, and 2008 was jam packed with horrible and fantastic ones. I found myself dedicating the year to simple pleasures, and new fun, and no commitment. Living for the experience, and I found some. I felt what it was like to not think, just do. I felt what it was like not to care. I found a strength in myself that allowed me to control my life, and who was in it. I am proud to say that I am lie free since February. It is an amazing feeling to say everything on my mind and not feel bad about it. It feels AMAZING knowing there is nothing to hide. I lived my year learning more about people I didn't get the chance to know so well before. I found my mother again. I love her more than anything. She is my strength, yet someone has pointed out the obvious...she is also my weakness.
I have to say the biggest surprise of the year came along around the late middle of the year, when my computer started acting up and a somewhat distantly close internet friend told me he could help. What started out as simple, silly conversations online late at night, became compelling company. This company some how blindsided me and became company I enjoyed kissing, and began to care too much about. That care grew, and grew and grew, and as hard as I tried to fight it, he never gave up.
So I gave in.
It was the best idea I ever had.
Frankly, my life is a long, boring story and I was lucky enough to find someone to listen.
But this year wasn't all just about falling in love. It was about finding myself. Improving myself. Moving forward.
I am currently self employed. Its working as I expect it to. Starting in 2009 I have tons to look forward to. I'm going back to school come January. I'll get a part time job aside from my self employment to start saving up. If all goes smoothly, I'll be going to Europe in the summer. I'll be spending lots and lots of time with Jerry. Working to come up with new game ideas! Working to find what it is I want to do for a living. Spending lots of time with Gina! Contemplating my tattoo idea. Taking Cuddles on more walks. Turning 21 and spending the weekend in Vegas! Taking lots of pictures. Getting in touch with my creative side again. HOLY CRAP! I'm excited!
2009 will be an amazing year.
Looking forward to bringing in the new year with awesome people. See you at 8!
