I'm going on a bus trip with my students and I need to think up some good bus games to play with them. Any suggestions? Preferably something that doesn't require extensive knowledge of English.
CAR SCAVENGER HUNT Give each player a list of five things to find along the road. When they see something on their list, they call out the name. The cards should be in different combinations, so they don't all win at once. Here are some items to look for: Car with a bike on top, 2 story house, orange pick-up, a sign with the words ice-cream, a dog in a car, an animal smaller than a cow, a white horse, a dog on a leash, a bird that can swimm and fly, a silo, a school, a police car, a doghouse. First one to find all the items on their list wins.
CITIES Give each player a note pad and pencil. Call out a letter of the alphabet. The player who can write down the most cities that begin with that letter, before you say stop, wins.
MILEAGE At some point during the trip, have each player write down how far they think it is to the destination and give it to you. Take note of the mileage on the odometer then and at the end of the trip. Closest wins.
the first one sounds pretty good for learning vocab and stuff too!
