Wow, I logged into livejournal just now for the first time in a few years, just to leave you a comment! I don't think we've run into each other since BANG 21 a few years ago, but I moved back to Chicago - and closed my facebook - so hello
( ... )
The I in LMI stands for India, so your German issues shouldn't be relevant. (Croco-puzzles is the site I've avoided because I don't like dealing with translations.)
I prefer Croco-Puzzle because I don't have to block out as much time for it. Of course, that means it's not helping me so much for things like LMI and USPC (which I generally play around with after competition is over). There's a list of translated instructions for Croco-Puzzle here.
I would try reading the english translation of crocopuzzles and then decide if you want to do it. You don't exactly need to know German to puzzle. The whole concept of WPC puzzles has always been that they are language and culture neutral and thus if you understand the rules of a puzzle type, you can solve them.
good to see you too!! My falling-off-the-internet has been great for a lot of reasons (no drama! time to do real life stuff that's not on the computer!) but awful for my social life, a big chunk of which contains people like you who I don't get to see in person that often.
Good point about croco-puzzle. I will save the email with your reply so I can click that link later.
