Friday Puzzle #58 - Camping Criss-cross

The USPC is coming up and one of my favorite puzzle types on it is the variety criss-cross. I don't construct enough word logic puzzles considering how much I enjoy them, so I thought I'd give this puzzle type a shot this week with an idea I had to combine a Tents puzzle with a word puzzle. Consider it practice for those getting ready for the ( Read more... )

Nice idea - I found the word part of the puzzle the majority of the challenge, although with a bit of fiddling it all came out fine.

That really was a challenge, but an enjoyable one. The right kind of thinking and willingness to sully my printed grid with lightly penciled notes was key. :)

Tent: ":Çadır"; Tree: "Ağaç" :)

Some of the fun was finding phrases that split into parts that still contained the words. I'm not sure how easily that can be done in Turkish but it should be interesting.

I tried pretty hard to make sure this was mostly a word puzzle (the logic steps are not too hard) but there should be a lot of opportunities for giving fewer outside tents/trees clues or maybe adding in extra trees/tents not part of the criss cross or something else so that it has a lot more of the Tents puzzle challenge as well.

I have some words in my mind, but i should see how they will be together. I guess it will be so fun to make:)

Yes, i found all trees are tents(except two of them)where exactly. Then i tried to find the key word, i found it and then all words be placed easily. Normally i am not good to solve word puzzles, i cannot decide where i should start. But in this one i know the starting point because of being tent-tree puzzle.

I love that your puzzle one more after the "Last Hurrah" solving, i have same feeling.
