I would just like to get it out here and now that I fucking despise people who are anti-vaccination: not only are they anti-science idiots who base their views on bad and/or faked studies, they're willing to deny their existant/potential children what is possibly the single most beneficial medical advantage created yet and turn them into plague

At the same time, I think a lot of people find reasons to rebel against "mandatory" things. Why, I don't know, but if people can get out of something "mandatory" like immunizations and vaccinations using bullshit religion reasons, they do it.

For other ones? MMR? Polio? Yeah, get the shot, you don't have any excuse.

If a vaccine works, is proven to actually eliminate something, or doesn't cause terrible widespread adverse reactions, something as low as 2 out of ten maybe, then hey, I'm for it.
But if it kills or infects more than it helps, then nono.

Not to mention how not vaccinating kids hurts herd immunity, therefore putting not just the kids at risk, but EVERYONE at risk. Saying you have the right to not vaccinate your kid is like saying you have the right to start a 20-car pileup on the highway.
I'm reminded of this thread where parents were debating on whether to let their kids get chicken pox naturally or get the vaccine. There were a good number who wanted their kids to catch it young, but since chicken pox vaccination is becoming more and more common, their kids got so old without catching it that they had to vaccinate anyway.

Why any parent would willingly subject their child to that when there's an alternative readily available is completely and utterly beyond me.

It will.

The same idiot decides not to vaccinate their child, compromising the bodily defenses of the kid because of some stupid, poorly researched opinion?
They should have that kid taken away, and should get stabbed in the crotch enough times to make sure that they can't breed again.
