If you deny I will come to your house and play them for you personally :'3 It was seriously challenging to select a specific track. Ideally I would recommend the progression of Revolution --> Light a Fire, it gets me so pumped hahaha. But I'm not enough of a tool to hand-join them to keep as one track as they appear on the album. So, reluctantly, I have to pick just one.

A MEMORY THAT NEVER FAILS TO MAKE YOU LAUGH. Our stay in Paris, trying to find a hookah bar. We figure, there being a strong Moroccan presence here, this should be like throwing a pebble. We sift through promotional flyers. We rack the business directories. Nothing. At a loss, we consult the manager of our boarding-house. This guy is a cool dude who gives us breakfast leftovers and chats with us about Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto when we feel homesick. At first he seems confused, then gives us girls a look betraying linguistic fascination. "Hooker?" "Hookah." "Haha. Hooker?" "Hahaha." We are stumped. Finally one of us mimes pulling a puff of smoke from a tall vessel. He laughs. "You need the number of un mec?" We're all laughing. "Ok, but the kind where it's tobacco." It dawns! "Not hooker. Shisha." "Shisha?" "Shisha." Now we are immersed.

TWO BL AUTHORS THAT SHOULD COLLABORATE. L M A O can I get Est Em to collaborate with male non-BL manga author Asano Inio? They both like bands and sad stories!! But Est Em isn't as good at telling them as she is at drawing them, while Inio's style is too polished for this avant-garde scenario. The result would be a subtle and meandering porn tale about how it's hard to be just another sexy, discerning, college-educated person between the ages of 20 and 25.
A BL MANGA YOU FEEL EMBARRASSED ABOUT LIKING. Kunieda Saika's Natsujikan, specifically the last story. Such a confusing author to keep track of, because she also goes by Sakai Kunie!! Lol how long did it even take me to figure this out;;; Kunieda is at her best when melodramatic and misanthropic, i.e. The Guardian. The weirdness is absorbing enough to distract from her super-cliche tastes. The rest of her stuff is pretty stupid, though I sense a thread of deliberate sabotage in her "cute comedy" stories, which I like to imagine she pens disgustedly to buy time for more blood, ghosts, and serial murder. The multichapter story in Natsujikan, however, is such a fun combination of weird and cute, I couldn't resist.
