NGL I want Inio Asano to write me a BL manga. That's one for the 30 questions meme. MAKE IT REALLY SAD OK

Solanin is a "romance manga" which idk in his context I am curious what that entails. I know it has a movie now. I think this movie will be moe.

Subarashii Sekai got licensed+dropped, so now I have raws. But I have no idea what's going on this isn't the same as Ishino Aya ;A;;;;;;

dyingggg. You should see his room, (I think someone uploaded to tumblr). The only thing missing in it is a fixed gear bike but I guess he must have sent that for repairs.

Somehow I feel Solanin would be like something Chika Umino would do if she were a man and powerfully interested in guitars idk. I COULD BE WRONG. But I don't think I am lol. Poss the movie will be as moe as H&C

Wonderful World is pretty good. I was impressed at how he subtley he handled the dramas of twenty something year olds, being that age himself.

He also reminds me of a less incisive, less racially-packed Derek Kirk Kim, same self-conscious overthinking and painstaking obervation of the tiniest details of life.

Lol sadly my exposure to Kim is limited to that two pager he did for Fables 1001 nights. I liked it though! I have no idea how to navigate the deep waters of indie comics done in my native language lol fail :(

Kim's stuff is even heavier, which idk. He is good-looking and successful? Does that negate or enhance the sentiment?

I liked that one short in wonderful world where this total bohemian metalhead embraces white collar working life, not because it is particularly uplifting but because he managed to capture the life story of 90% of the population in a mere 20 pages.

reading his blog I remember Kim's quite articulate post wrt that 'racebending' issue. ngl good looking successful artists always make me feel like some quasimodo gazing from afar atop the bell towers. :I
