Might as well own up: I am sort of making a Balthier and Fran FST (henceforth referred to by codenames 'BRAN'; 'Delicious Bran Flakes') this month. Except I realize QUITE belatedly that 99.9% of fandom thinks they are banging. In fact I myself am not sure if they wouldn't eventually start banging given a forseeable timeline.
EFF!
Poll ..............................Guess I'll just hang onto this all furtive-like until FST SEXY INTERSPECIES MONTH. HINT HINT
team7 Summarily I ripped built the whole thing off of
petronia's SPOT ON Bran single she posted two seasons ago. I don't know how this led to my listening to about 70 hours of New Wave / New Wave Revivals, or why I thought the New York Dolls' relentless love for heroin would express the intricacies of medievalpunk-era sky pirate bonds, but I suppose at least something came of it: I never have to listen to the Killers EVER AGAIN.
I'd post a tracklist, but it's still looking like utter shit and contains Echo and the Bunnymen ORZ.
Dudes tend to say Fran's english VA sounds like Bjork, but this is not true: Fran's english VA merely has a Scandinavian/Icelandic accent. Bjork's music hasn't the right sound, anyway; too produced, though I have half a mind to throw "Wanderlust" on there for the lulz. I have been rifling through Swedish musicblogs trying to find something appropriate, and (among a ton of inapplicable but cool stuff like
The Tough Alliance) have arrived at the Danish electronica collective
Atoi. They covered Bjork's "Army of Me," and describe their work as a "a mixture of electronic beats of digital and acoustic noise and sound from real classical acoustic instruments." FST's aside, their stronger stuff's pretty good.
Here's one bona fide songfile plus two exclusive tracks I ripped from internet streams:
ATOI -
KinaATOI -
NeighborATOI -
Starlight (But never as cool as acoustic Cibo Matto, I'm afraid.)

All in all, I have only one SERIOUS Balthier (and Fran) song call, which is:
DESTROYER -
It's Gonna Take an Airplane ("Always the play, never the thing" = greatest line ever y/y.)
