Up bright and early in surfer hours, I cleaned out my apartment LIKE AN EFFIN CHAMP. I am very proud, and possibly next-to-godly.

BRIEF REVIEWS OF TWO CONCERTS:
(01) POLYSICS @ THE CASBAH
LOUD NOISES
An otherwise decent crowd contained a douche dressed up in a full Polysics-ish orange jumpsuit, topped in avant-grade manner with a bandana worn J-style, homemade with sharpie kanji that may as well have read, "THAT SMELL IS ME!" catsonmars and I pointed and laughed until I abruptly went all sober and said, "We'll end up inadvertently groping that peen in the mosh pit, you know."
AND SO IT WAS.
(02) CAT EMPIRE @ THE BELLY-UP
FELIX RIEBL WAS REEEEAL HAPPY TO SEE US
...NAHMEAN?
The. Whole. Time.
Immediately after the show, I dove past many people and scored me a setlist. ♥ I dig that this band's technically stellar soundrange covers everything from reggae to flamenco to aboriginal-inspired vocalisms to doo-wop to swing; their performances always turn into huge hodowns where people are flipping out and loving freely. AND THE BELLY UP IS A CLASSY VENUE, let me tell you, so classy I had people behind me complaining that the stage smelled "sweaty." (And the thoughtful barpeople set out glasses of free ice water post-concert, and the place had a COAT CHECK, yeah I know, IT WAS LIKE VISITING SOME SORT OF FUTURISTIC UTOPIA WHERE SCIENCE HAS CURED AIDS AND CHRONIC B-O.)
