Summary (this chapter): Angela has a dream that foretells a horrific murder - though she is unfamiliar with the victim, his would-be rescuer is a different story.
Author's Note: This was going to be my NaNoWriMo fic, but with how much my writing muse likes to dance off into the sunset (WITHOUT ME!), I decided to start early.  Yeah yeah, against the rules, whatever - you gotta do what you gotta do.

"You're not normal," the words are muffled, but they echo.

A humorless laugh spills from the teen as easily as his tears.  His hands hang at his sides, but there's a tension there that says he knows what they could do.

The older man huffs out a laugh, gives a thumbs up to the man in the truck.  "This...this is justice.  And I'm going to watch."

The truck speeds into the night, and the gruesome sight is enough to follow her well into her waking hours.

-----------------------------
"Noah, why are you in Georgia?" The question was useless, the man on the other end already well-versed in her cryptic form of communication.

"What did you see?" he asked, pleasantries forgotten.  If she knew where he was, she had a dream.  If she had a dream, she knew why he was there.

"He dies," her answer is blunt and without sympathy.  "It's going to break you, Noah, and you need to get out of there."

'Because I care for you' went unspoken.

"Why are you so sure I can't save him?" a beat of silence.  "Tell me exactly what you saw," it was a demand.  It was a call on a favor she owed him, one he knew she couldn't deny.  She slipped her eyes shut, and let out a long breath.

"They take him from his cell.  A few cops take him to an alley, and...they drag him to death behind a pickup," though she fought it, the tears that collected in the corners of her eyes made their way into her voice.

Noah was silent for a moment.  He took a breath and sighed, and she could practically see him pinching the bridge of his nose.  "I'm sorry," but he had nothing to be sorry for.

She took a small moment, mulled it over.  "Do you really think you can save him?"

"Yes," without hesitation, without doubt.

"Then you'd best get to it, I don't plan on revisiting that dream anytime soon," with a click her phone was shut, call disconnected, and what little was left of her conscience clear.
