'76 280Z, factory AC converted to R134. Intact dash (!). Hasn't run in 10 years but solid. Last year of the 4-speed, second year of the L28E. Interior's beautiful, exterior paint is in surprisingly good shape. Minor rust on doglegs, frame rails are solid, shifter's not stuck. Hood paint is trashed, obviously everything fuel-related will need to be cleaned, everything electrical redone, everything that's a friction surface or a fluid will need to be replaced.

Good news is it'll be there for me to at least try to fire up and then decide to buy or not after I'm done training in Michigan (for the next 6-9 months or so) and I'll have money, space, and time to work on it. Thinking of offering the gal ~$1750 or so, sure you could get a running V8 conversion in rough shape for $1500 but a restored one is worth around 6-7 grand in the Houston area and other than the hood paint this one looks like it just needs some stuff from MSA, Rockauto, and TireRack to get back on the road.

Considering my job will have me driving a 2008 Chevy Express diesel monstrosity converted to a tool van, getting a low 4-speed (future 5-speed/3.9 R200 swap already planned) sports car ought to be just the weekend breath of fresh air I need.

Or, y'know, exhaust-scented air until every single bit of weatherstripping gets replaced.

What do you think, sirs?
