I started working yesterday, and it was great. Just talking with someone new was exciting and fun. I have been home so long it seems. I spend most of the day alone, and then when people show up, I am still basically alone. It was nice to do something for a change. I needed a change in routine. I think work is great now, but that might change in a few weeks.
I read the book "Night" the other day. It was the story of a man in a concentration camp during the holocaust. It was the first book I have read (besides a Harry Potter book) since I started school. It is the first time I have really wanted to either. I love to read, but when I read non-stop at school, it kind of takes away some of the fun. I did a lot of reading for my thesis this past semester, but my other classes had pretty much nothing. The book was really good and made me cry like four or five times. It was horribly depressing, but also eye-opening. It was no surprise to me that the author won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work. It was only 120 pages, so it was a quick read. I started reading another book, but I am not sure how well I like it. I will probably give that book a rest. I think my next foray will be into the world of Stephen King. I have never read one of his books, and I would really like to. Actually, I think I will go do that now. Now which one to choose....
