Ya, so we lost our CIF game to Bonita Vista in the quarter finals. It sucked because i didn't play at all which hasn't happened in like 2 months, but it sucks even more for the seniors. I wanted to get out there and help them so bad, they've been part of such great teams before, and this year must feel like such a let down, trying to keep the fire alive and the streak continuing. People in tears after the game, it was an emotional experience. Writing about it now i still get goosebumps and I wish we could still have practice everyday just for the sake of being together as a team. To you seniors, I hope that this game can be recalled upon in your futures not as a defeat, but as a pretext to your strengthened perseverence, to show everyone that you can get back up even when you fall. To me, you're leaving behind a legacy; you will not be known as the group who went for 4 in a row throughout your high school career and fell just short, but the group that lost the final title they wanted most, but still walked away with their heads held high. Whatever your profession is to become, soccer or not, you've helped accomplish so much here at Granite that it appalls me, and I wish you all the best. I have become so close with so many players and we've all become a family, which is most important, and we will always have that. Thanks to everyone for a great season. Our one and only loss hurt the most, but we're still a team. Some people say it's just a game, but to us its more than that.

Love,
Wes
