I was listening to Obama's swearing-in ceremony on the radio this morning from just off the Beltway, and I noticed the Chief Justice flubbed the oath slightly. It doesn't matter what the Chief Justice said; it matters what the President-Elect said. And based on what he said afterwards, it looks to be an interesting couple of years....

the President-Elect fixed the flubbed preposition but left "faithfully" in the wrong place, even after Roberts had repeated the phrase with both corrections.

Oh sure, use logic, reason, and bald fact on Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly and see how far that gets you.

It doesn't even work on their fans. There was a lot of squawking on the CB today from boneheaded fellow truckers who think that Obama is the Antichrist, and that the Republicans are somehow the bestest friends us blue collar working folk ever had. One of them said "You can say what you want about ol' Dubya, but he kept us safe all these years!"

I couldn't resist grabbing the mic and replying with "Tell it to the people who used to live in New Orleans, and the soldiers we've shipped off to Iraq."
