I'm in Portland now. Its truly amazing how fast one can get across the country. Flying really has an effect on my mental state. I used to want to look into the flight attendance field for a possible career, but damn, I don't think I could handle it. Its almost like flying uses up several brain cells or something. But then I'm sure the staying up all night drinking the night before had something to do with it.... maybe.
So, it has happened. I have become one of "them." I talk on my cell phone in the airport right along with everyone else. I don't talk as much or as loud, is that ok?
The first plane was tiny. 26 seats in all. At the Dallas airport they made an announcement, the plane was overbooked or something. They were offering a $200 Delta voucher for anyone who would be willing to give up their seat. The people interested would have to take a later flight that stopped in Salt Lake City before arriving in Portland. My plane arrived at 5.30pm. The alternate flight would have gotten here at 7.30. I May have well taken up on that offer. It really was not a bad deal. Oh well.
The second plane was much much bigger. Its the kind of plane that spoils a girl. Soft seats, decent food, and a movie. It was sweet. I didn't even have to pull out a book or my discman.
Anyway, I'm going to leave it at that for know.
Sleepy.
