Also - holy crap, the Scatman has been dead for like a decade?!?

Also, I always assumed that he was black because of how his voice sounded. I made the same mistake with the singer in Blood Sweat and Tears back in the day, too.

Hmmm. Well, this is his famous thing. He looked white to me, but maybe you're right. A quick search doesn't turn up a genetic analysis or anything.

It's possible. But then there's the one drop rule. Kind of like how Obama is black and not half-black.

I don't know. Maybe he looks whiter in black and white, and that's why I can see how he might be black in this video, but I don't see it in Scatman.

I think he looks biracial, but most people consider that to be black or African-American, so I just went with that.
