6 chicken breasts seasoned to taste
1 cup rice (type doesn't matter)
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup mix
1 cup water
1 stick of butter
Preheat over to 350 degrees.
In an oven-safe dish, melt the stick of butter. This can be done stove-top for convenience if you like. Once the butter has melted, add in the Cream of Mushroom soup, the Onion Soup mix, the water and the rice. Mix well. Place chicken in pan on top of mixture. Cover. Bake 1hr.
Had this for dinner yesterday (and lunch today and probably lunch tomorrow). When made last night, the recipe was "doubled" by using two cups rice, two cans of Cream of Mushroom soup and two cups of water. We also increased the cooking time to 1hr. 30m. For spices, we used salt, pepper and
herbs de provence. The result was outstanding and provides either 6 large servings or 12 small servings.
