Tech!

So Tech was today, and I have to say, it was probably the best tech since I came to San Mateo. We started surprisingly on time, and got almost through the end of the second act by dinner. But the most amazing part was that everyone in the show was all hanging out together backstage, one huge conversation, when we weren't on stage. It was great. We started off pretty light, with things like Alex telling his jokes in lebanese, moving on to everyone speaking in languages they know (Lebanese, French, German, Gaelic, Spanish, Japanese). Then we started getting heavier, with the main topics of the breasts of our actresses, the cheeks of Katie Blodgett, which feel like said breasts, our actresses trying to get jobs at hooters, their "qualifications to work at said establishment, and Seth Hamlin's quest to get 10 women's breasts on his cell phone by the end of this school year (completed: 3). All this, of course, surrounded by many massages (my hands are still oily). It sounds stupid, but I feel we've really grown as a cast. I can really trust these people, which is very important for this play. I'm excited about tech week and the show. Another thing, the costumes weren't in the male and female dressing rooms yet, just in the middle room. So naturally, one would think that we would want to bring the costumes into the respective dressing rooms to change. But many people just decided to change where the costumes were, which I think shows a lot of faith in each other, that no one will be judged. The whole day felt very comforting, I felt wanted.

Even if I did have to wear an abercrombie shirt.
