I have been contemplating for awhile how americana is such a dying art. The days of women being homemakers are rapidly deminishing; or so it seemed. I am uplifted to see Liz sewing and Katie domesticing. I am thrilled to see that women really do know how to do somethings. I was overjoyed when Katie was over the other day for a day of mother daughter time for sewing. It was rather bittersweet as she is due any time with our Scarlett; it felt like it was the last time we will ever alone again. I do pine for her sometimes. I am just as awed about her having this child as I was with Liz having Alex. I am about to witness a most perfect miracle. I am confident that Scarlett will know the finer things in life; like being a good homemaker. Thank you God for all the wonderful gifts you delight me in.
