Best Week Ever!

Oct 05, 2009 21:36

It all started on Wednesday. After Cognitive Psychology I borded Betz and headed down to Barrie for the Porcupine Tree Concert. I arived at my Fathers, and we headed out to Alexei's, and onward to Toronto. The concert was being held at the Queen Elisabeth Theater, one of the smallest theaters I've ever been in. But boy was it fancey inside. It was all upscale and everything. Very intimite. We had an extra ticket which no one took (I'm looking at you EVERYONE!) but it was still one hell of a show. The opining act was Kings X, the worst band I've seen live. But I must say that they did play one song that was relly enjoyable. But one out of 5 was not what I'd call 'acceptable'.

But once Porcupine Tree entered BAM!! Amasing times happend by all. Their first half was the intire first disc to their new album 'The Incident'. Both Alexei and my father enjoyed the first set the most, since the second set was mostly their more 'popular' stuff. And by popular, I mean fan favourits which you can hear over and over again on their live albums. But I was glad to hear "Anathezitise: pt 2". Since it was such a small venue it was LOUD, which just added to the song.

Then on Thursday I had to wake up at 5:30 to drive back up to Sudbury to make it to my 10:00 class on time. Which I did. I also did a big grossurey shop and then it was complete and utter Appartment makeover to get it nice and sparkily clean for Jennifer. Then it was crash and birn.

Then Friday came. Jennifer gave me the best Birthday Present ever: her! She arived after taking a bit of a round about way of getting here. First thing was first: She had the little mermaid on her compter, which was calling to be put on my computer. My computer is much happier now. We then did what we do best: Scower the internet, but this time being in the same room. It is muc better scowering the net with someone else there. I didn't need my television on for company. After we missed the 7 occlock movie we desided to hit up the 9 occlock one insted. We couldn't deside between 'Whip It' and 'The Invention of Lieing'. We both wanted to see each about the same, so we left it up untill we got there. We eventually agreed on 'The Invention of Lieing', which was entertaining. Not as funny as I hoped, but still enjoyable. It took a really weird turn around the middle, but since it was Rickey Jarvas (or how ever you spell it) it was still entertaining all the way through. After the film we drove back and talked untill rediculus occlock.

On Saturday we took a small tour around town to the most important arias of town: The Used book Store, The mall and Chapters. Honistly, I can't think of a better way to spend a day. We were origianaly going to check out the bord walk, but it was raining, so we were limited to inside stuff, which didn't fase us. So we got back with books (and lots of them) and desided to first catch up on our websites and then the Wii. After a few hours we desided to watch the awesomeness that was 'The Laberinth'. It's kind of sad that while watching all scenes with David Bowey, I couldn't help but think of Jermaine from Flight of the Conchords. He nailed that preformance.

Then on Suday, oh black of days, Jennifer had to leave. It was quite saddining. Not even the girls at the library and all their tails of shananagings could lift my spirits. But not to fret! In a few weeks 'Where the Wild Things Are' is coming out, to which we shall be seeing. And if I'm not mistaken, Shawna will also be there, whom I haven't seen since I visited Jennifer two years ago. But Sunday also brought my catching up with homework, the things I forgot to get to while I was at the Porcupine Tree or with Jennifer over. Even right now, I should be working on an Essay I haven't even started due in two weeks, but instead I'm updating this. This is completely new to me....what's the word? procrastination? It feels weird. But to balance it out, I filled out a Graduate Schollership, since aparintly, they help you with Masters admition.

And there you have it. The Best Week Ever. Although I am quite saddened that it's all over.
