Happy Belated birthday Victoria!

Well it was quite the adventful long weekend. Again, I know I'm writing out my weekend's doing halfway through the next week, but better late than never.

I headed up to the cottage over the weekend. Alexei came on up with me. We found what was, quite posibly, the most descusting thing I have ever witnessed/seen in my life. We go into the cottage and it had it's usual stuffy-not ben in for more than three weeks smell to it. So after opining a couple windows, lighting a fire to take out the wetness, and just running around getting our musk in the air. After a while the stuffy wetness left the air, but something still lingered. It was the usual smell of death. Ever since my dad did some renivations in the bedrooms/bathrooms, there was more arias for a mouse to crawl into and die, so it's a very normal smell. Although this one was more intence, expeshily aorund the fire place and television. So finaly I broke down and surched around the television wallunit to find what was producing the smell. And there it was.

There was a glass on the fire place. At first, I thought nothing of it. There was a dark mass at the bottom of the glass. I thought it was part of the glass design, or that we just left a bit of water in it or something. That was untill I saw a claw and what looked like an eye and snout of a small mouse. Yes...a mouse has some how had the skill to fall into this glass, but lacked the skills nessisary to climb back out. And boy howdy did it reak. I'm talking about gag smell. So I put on some heavy duty work gloves, extended my arm to full legth, and picked up the abomination of nature and took it outside. Lest it to say that for the rest of  the evening Alexei and I were making 'mouse soup' and related jokes. *shutters* Terrible.

So than, other than that unnerving insodent, my father, brother and bobshie came up the folowing day. We than watched really bad b rated sci fi films from the 40s. Soo bad. For a movie called werewolf woman, there was a seariouse lack of werewolves. I also had some really crazy vivid dreams, as I always do when I'm at the cottage. We also hooked up the stario system I had in the shake in the mane room in the cottage. That means we can now play tapes again. THAT means we can listen to my mix tapes I made when I was in elementry school and highschool. Yay crazy late 90s alturnitive music! "So what did you do over the May 2-4 weekend?" "We played Jin while listining to bad 90s music." AWE YEAH!

Oh! I also saw a Moose! YAY! first moose ever in the wild! It was but a passing glance, but that was definitly a young moose. It was awesome.

So Alexei left Sunday eve and my father in-company left Monday afternoon. Your humble narrator felt too comfertable where he was, so I stayed untill Tuesday Monrning.  I only wish I had someone there to enjoy the evening with, the stars were out, the lake was calm, it was perfict.

So last night, I come back up to sudbury and broke down and downloaded the two Gazpacho albums I was half listining to over the weekend. Before I left, I put 'Upside Down' on a mix CD. I listened to that album quite a bit, and fell inlove with the song, so I had to get their latest two albums. Now, I tryed Amazon, but aparintly, it hates Canadians, and wouldn't allow me to download it, or even buy the hard copy CD. Well then, to iTunes it was. Even though I'm not a big fan of iTunes, I'll use it when nothing else works. So I downloaded the two albums. Here is why I loves progressive rock.

Most albums have more than 10 songs on it. Each song being about 99 cents, each 'populer' album costs about 15 dollers or so, for 13-14 songs. With progressive music, there is the same amount of time on each album, but with considerably less songs. For an album of 55 minutes worth of music, it only cost me 4 dollars. Gotta love 17 minute songs that are worth 99 cents. Not only is the music superior, but it costs less. Can I get a boo-yeah? But aparintly iTunes got wise to this, so within the later album, they split the two 20+ minute songs into 3 parts. Basterds. Oh well, still worth it.

And now I must leave you for food. I'll update with my dreams later. It will be legindary.
