[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]
Name: Okami Amaterasu, Omikami Amaterasu, Amaterasu, Ammy, Snowy, etc
Age: Unknown, but she was created shortly after Creation. Since she's a wolf though, she appears as an Alpha Female of a decent age (IE 3-4 years in age)
Gender: Female
Canon: Okami
Timeline: After Okami with knowledge of Chibiterasu (not doing Okamiden completely because that just screws everything up that was Canonly established in Okami)

Character History:
Okami (game) and Amaterasu

Character Personality:

"Origin of Good and Mother to us all."

That is how Amaterasu is most commonly addressed when it comes to her children and to people who see her divinity. As the goddess born to rule over the Celestials and mortal world, she's nothing but a motherly and benevolent figure watching over all life from the Celestial Plain. She does her best to protect both realms while the Celestial Envoys make sure the faith from mortals continues to give her and the other Gods strength. When Orochi attacks the Celestial Plain, she does her best to defend her Celestials with the Moon Tribesman/Tao Master Ushiwaka (Waka) until they can escape on the Ark of Yamato, falling to the mortal realm with the eight-headed demon instead of giving in. Unfortunately, the Ark is plagued with demons and all the Celestials fought for are killed. While she mourns for their death, she can't stay. With Orochi in the mortal world, her humans will begin to die in high numbers. And so, following Waka's prophecy, Amaterasu has to wait for one hundred years until the human who could defeat Orochi would be born.

During that time, faith begins to wane, but Amaterasu cannot hold contempt against the humans for feeling abandoned; even after they wrongly accused her of being Orochi's familiar and attacking her, she didn't bare her fangs towards them. They had a right to wonder why the Gods hadn't done anything about Orochi and if they wanted to try taking their anger out on her, they could. Eventually, she makes it up to the humans by aiding the savior in battle. She does everything she can to help him win, succumbing to her wounds only after Orochi is defeated.

Forced to slumber for one hundred years after sealing Orochi, Amaterasu is awakened from a statue, but with amnesia and her powers scattered throughout the land. Weakened, but still retaining some power, she begins to act more dog-like; accepting pets, digging up turnip gardens, and getting extremely bored when someone talks way too long. This is the awakening of her more playful, but arrogant animal side. It's only due to Issun, a tiny poncle, edging her does she move on to traverse the mortal land again, re-awakening her children from their constellations and regaining their powers and, gradually, her own memories. All her memories are restored in time for her to take on the demon that started it all, the Lord of Darkness Yami. Amaterasu fights valiently, seeking to avenge her Celestials in this fight despite barely having an faith to give her strength. She almost faces defeat, but the prayers of the humans reach her, restoring her to full strength and allowing her to triumph over Yami. With his defeat, Amaterasu is finally able to return to the Celestial Plain and restore the mortal realm and her home back to what they once were.

As mentioned before, Amaterasu is a very benevolent Goddess who cares and fights for her Celestials, humans, and God children. She carries a sense of duty to care for her land and has since her creation. It's rare for her to hold any hatred towards anyone, but she certainly does have her issues with those who are evil. I say 'those who are evil' because she has befriended a demon before. As a created familiar of the viscous Ninetails, the demon ignored his own responsibilities to race with Amaterasu in friendly (but deadly) racing courses. It's the goodness that is shown through a person's actions, no matter the species, that makes her willing to befriend them while any black-hearted or unruly behavior places her at odds with an individual.

Due to the aforementioned slumber and awakening, Amaterasu not only has her Goddess mind-set above, but also the playful, almost dog-like one as well which gives her reason to keep her wolf form. Because of it, she has come to enjoy eating, taking naps, and receiving pets from people when left to her own devices. Of course, being this way has also made her brasher and more willing to take matters into her own paws. She will "leap before thinking" in the words of Issun which could put herself (and anyone with her) in danger.

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
As sun goddess and ruling deity over Nippon, Amaterasu has a plethora of abilities, but Okami brings attention to her Celestial Brush. Created to harness the power of nature in a more controllable method for herself and for any Celestial Envoys sent to spread her existence throughout Nippon, the brush enables to wielder to alter the world in various means. The abilities are as such and ruled by her children as follows:

Rejuvenation - Yomigami or "God of Reincarnation"
• The power of Rejuvenation is ruled by Yomigami, one of Amaterasu's many children who takes the form of a dragon with his lower body trapped in a scroll. When bestowed this power, Rejuvenation allows anything broken to be repaired to new such as broken bridges, waterwheels, etc. Amaterasu can take this a step further and restore the River of the Heavens meaning there's more than just the physical she can restore.

Power Slash - Tachigami or "Rending God"
• Amaterasu's smallest son who takes the form of a Rat/Mouse wielding a massive glaive. Tachigami restores the ability to rend anything into pieces. What cannot be destroyed by this ability can be deflected instead. In game, Power Slash can be leveled two times, becoming powerful enough to cut through diamond.

Greensprout - Hanagami Trio or "Flora Gods"
• Three of Amaterasu's sons hold sovereign power over the Celestial Brush's power to promote the growth of life, mainly flowers, lilies, and vines while taking the form of monkeys. Sakigami, Flora God of Blossoms, controls bloom which revives dead trees and purifies cursed zones. Hasugami, Flora God of the Lotus, lets the wielder of the Brush create lily pads in order to cross vast bodies of water. Finally, Tsutagami, Flora God of Vines, allows the wielder to create vines in which to reach higher places or ensnare enemies.

Cherry Bomb - Bakugami or "God of Explosions"
• The only one of Amaterasu's children to already have kids of their own. He takes the form of a massive boar (the kids being piglets in that respect). A powerful technique that summons a bomb to destroy anything that has a crack in it while also inflicting stunning damage to an enemy if they stray too close. This ability can be upgraded two more times so three bombs can be summoned at once, causing a little more chaos.

Waterspout/Deluge - Nuregami or "Aqueous God"
• One of Amaterasu's daughters that takes the form of a snake within a corked glass flask. Soft spoken, Nuregami holds the powers of Waterspout and Deluge, controlling two forms of water. Waterspout allows water readily available to be moved away from its source and used elsewhere be it on a fire or refilling an empty barrel. Deluge itself summons a cleansing rain to shower down. The intensity and duration depends on the brushstroke length. A final technique allows the Celestial Brush user to implement Mermaid Springs (Whirlpools) in order to travel somewhere else quicker.

Galestorm/Whirlwind - Kazegami or "Wind God"
• Ever running, this son takes the form of a horse dashing along with the wind itself. His brush ability is Galestorm which causes wind to bend temporarily in the brush wielder's favor. It can purify cursed winds if blown in the counter direction of said cursed wind. Later, the ability can be powered up in order to summon a whirlwind which surrounds the user and sends anything flying in a powerful cyclone.

Crescent - Yumigami or "God of the Bow"
• Amaterasu's second smallest child, Yumigami takes the form of a rabbit usually seen making mochi with her large red mallet. Her ability is Crescent which, when used, summons the moon and causes evening to fall upon the land rapidly. If Amaterasu wants it, she can will the power of the moon to give a Weapon strength, such as Nagi's blade or Susano's wooden sword.

Inferno/Fire Burst - Moegami or "Blazing God"
• The only one seen smoking, Moegami takes the form of a rooster/phoenix smoking a wooden pipe which is a source for his constant flames. His brush ability is similar to Waterspout, letting the user control fire from a direct source. It can be upgraded once, allowing it to be summoned without aid of a flame and causing a surge of fires to spread around a certain area.

Veil of Mist - Kasugami or "The Faint God"
• Amaterasu's alcoholic daughter that takes the form of a sheep carrying a gourd upon her back. Despite her drunken state, Kasugami's brush ability controls time, slowing it down and, if strong enough, stops it. When slowing time, it only lasts for four seconds, but it can be re-used when it has already been cast, extending the time for another four seconds. Later, an ability can be earned that allows the brush user to warp via Origin Mirror.

Catwalk - Kabegami or "Wall God"
• One of the more playful daughters, Kabegami takes the form of a cat sitting patiently on the wall. Around a cat statue or if a wall appears covered in paw marks, it grants the brush wielder the ability to stick to the wall much like a cat digging its claws into wood. However, if there are no paw marks, they must be drawn from the cat statue to form the necessary pathway.

Thunderstorm/Thunderbolt - Gekigami or "God of Onslaught"
• A son with the worst temper, Gekigami appears as a large tiger carrying a bow on his back, ready to shoot his enemies with lightning bolts (he shot a few arrows at his mother who dodged them all). Like Inferno and Waterspout, his brush's first ability is to guide lightning from a source in order to generate electricity or shock an enemy. Later, the ability can be upgraded to summoning lightning without aid. The power depends on the brushstroke.

Blizzard/Icestorm - Itegami or "Frost God"
• The most recluse son, Itegami takes on the cold in the massive form of an Ox with a horagai conch horn on his back. Much like Waterspout, Inferno, and Thunderstorm, his brush ability Blizzard allows the user to control ice from a source such as icy wind or an icicle. Surprisingly, this brush technique requires no upgrade in order to use Icestorm. The ferocity of the ice storm and duration depends on the brushstroke size.

Sunrise - Okami Amaterasu
• Amaterasu contributes her own power to the Celestial Brush, giving the power of Sunrise. As the name suggests, it summons the sun and brings light to the world. Taking the form of a wolf, she is the final symbol of the family (who, ironically, take the form of all the animals in the Chinese Zodiac, Cat included). Sunrise doesn't only bring the sun; when used on a person, it brightens their attitude and usually makes them run over to pet her. When powerful enough, her ability can cut through any darkness, most notably, Yami's darkness.

Besides the Celestial Brush, Amaterasu has the common abilities any other deity would have: great physical prowess, speed, high endurance, immortality (oh, she can be taken down, but she gets back up in a while), and a multitude of powers at her disposal. Amaterasu is capable of jumping great bounds, falling from impossible heights without earning a single scratch, and she has a rather nasty headbutt able to break rocks into rubble. She constantly gives off a holy aura, making her white fur appear abnormally brighter than a normal wolf and leaves flowers growing in her wake where ever she runs. Finally, she has three weapons - a mirror, a rosary, and a glaive - that she somehow wields to fight off evil. All of these abilities are used to protect her land and its people and animals.

Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
Amaterasu only has one significant weakness: her powers are based on faith. Faith is basically those who pray to her and believe in her divine existence. If enough people believe in her and her powers, she's basically invincible and able to defeat any foe that comes before her. When faith in her wanes, her powers become weaker and she becomes unable to defeat mightier foes. For example, when Orochi fell to Nippon and ate maidens for almost 100 years, their belief in her waned as she was unable to defeat Orochi. When she appeared in Kamiki Village as a wolf, no one recognized her and attempted to attack her, believing she was Orochi's familiar until she sacrificed herself to defend the village.

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign?
Okay, there are several abilities I would like Ammy to be able to retain.
• Improbable Weapon Using - Obviously for Meister reasons
• Above-Average Strength
• Speed - She's a wolf. What else can I say? She would obviously be able to outrun most characters.
• High Endurance
• Flower Trail - Of course, you can say no to this! All it means is that flowers bloom if she's not walking, but mostly, they appear when she breaks into a sprint (it fades away in like a second).
• Jump - She can jump high, but she can't even clear a single-floored building. She could jump onto say... a small roadside stand (if those exist in S_C. And just like the stand, not the roof of the stand).

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign?
She will lose her need for faith. Still, that shouldn't change the fact about her markings being seen/unseen since that's still all just belief there.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
Well, if I was BREW, I would know of all the dangers that Amaterasu had to face just to bring her own home, the Celestial Plain, back after it had fallen and restore order. She took on a great number of enemies and helped anyone and anything while on her journey. All of this began simply by being reawaked from her slumber. If she was brought to Death City and given an explanation, I (as BREW) would assume she would be willing to help end this fight.

If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game.
Since Amaterasu's a wolf, she won't be able to talk normally. Sure, she can talk to other animals, but otherwise, it's nothing more than growls, barks, whines, and the usual animal body language to humans/humanoids. If someone wants to remedy this in game with a translator, that's fine. Otherwise, Amaterasu will most likely communicate solely through text over the network (using a stick; paws can't type very well) unless she's in an excitable mood (and yes, she's smart enough to figure text out). Also, her Partner will be able to communicate with her through resonance. Since her wolf form is only on the outside, it does not mean her soul has taken this form. She's still a humanoid goddess inside and that part doesn't bark.

[ MEISTER ONLY SECTION ]

Why is your character a Meister and not a Weapon?
I believe Amaterasu should be a Meister because of her nature as head Goddess. She wants to protect people by taking action and going forward even if only left to her fangs. Hopefully, her Partner feels the same way.

What is your character’s Meister Ability? Why?

• Calming Soul - Usually, it's just by being soft, fluffy, and oddly cute, but it's also due to her loving and motherly nature that she could calm a person down.

• Soul Seal - Continuing her protective streak. The safety of others concerns her before herself.

• Soul Boost - It acts like equipping a new weapon after all. It would probably be the closest to having physical god(dess) abilities again.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Describe your character’s soul with six adjectives.
Cheerful, playful, motherly, loyal, brave, proud

What does your character’s soul look like? Be creative.
Amaterasu's soul is a very bright white with red markings much like her actual goddess form. However, unlike her outside appearance, her soul takes a humanoid form with long, wavy hair and wolf ears on her head.

[ SAMPLES ]

Provide a First Person style sample in the form of a post to the DEMISE network.
[There's something strange about this intro. Remember that last white dog that appeared? Well, there seems to be another looking around in confusion. If you've passed any biology classes, you'll know this creature is actually a wolf. If any more of you know your mythologies or are familiar with gods, there are crimson markings covering her fur and wing-like tuffs here and there on her body.]

[A whine and confused tilt of her head when she notices the communicator is on. She's sentient enough to know it's recording and paws at the screen. What does she do with it is another question entirely.]

[Suddenly, text begins to appear]

[Stops. Nothing comes for a while, but then suddenly, a single word appears.]

Hello

Provide a Third Person sample set during the last minutes on their world and/or their first few moments in the Kishin Chamber.
White paws flattened the wild green grass, but soon rose away, revealing flowers as the brilliant white wolf continued on her way. This wolf, covered in red markings and winglets, came to a halt at the edge of this floating plateau, gazing down upon the many islands within the ocean waves below. Humans, animals, spirits, and smaller demons were rising from their slumber as light began to break in the horizon. Still, the sun didn't rise above the line. It seemed to be waiting for something just as the stilled land was.

The wolf parted its black lips with a grin. Finally, Okami Amaterasu finished her observation of Nippon; she took a stance and raised her head, letting a powerful howl ring out. At once, the sun began to rise and shortly, she curled up to nap and enjoy the morning rays. Her amber eyes only blinked once before she suddenly found herself in a dark chamber. The light exuding from her fur revealed the ruins from a past battle, but her nose curled at the very scent of death and evil still lingering. What? Where had her beloved Nippon and Plain gone this time?

Carefully walking forward, she gave a startled yelp when a strange box lit up and a human's face somehow appeared. Was he trapped in the box? Should she try to get him out?

"Hello!"

Amaterasu paused and tilted her head, surprised they could talk from inside. Her ears flicked as the man talked about the Kishin Chamber and how this Demon God escaped. It was terrorizing the world? She snorted. That certainly wouldn't do. While she was still confused about this magical box, the Sun Goddess decided to follow the trapped man's directions. She would go home after helping these people it seemed and if the evil was as terrible as her nose said, they definitely needed all the help they could get.
