I'm the Mother that's why.........
OK quick update, though everyone knows.
Isis has an eye cancer called retino blastoma. This cancer can be deadly but we've caught it in time. She won't even lose her eye. I went to Philadelphia, Pa to a specialist. We decided to put Isis on chemotherapy. She'll have 6 treatment with 4 weeks between each. She has had one treatment already and so far so good. Her next treatment will be here at Kosair. The third will be in Philly at which point they will decide where she'll go from there. The doctors' say she'll be sick by the third treatment so I'll be crazy trying to keep her well. So far she acts as she has before. She crawls all over the place. Cries when I leave the room and pinches me when she nurses. I thank everyone from their well wishes especial from those who I have upset. Thank you all very much.
Lighter note::: I have become involved with a member of the opposite sex!! I'm a smitten kitten. He's an english major with black hair and pretty eyes. It's too late for me to remember their colour. We talk about literature, philosophy, the arts, movies, anime, comic books. Pinch me I'm dreaming. He is a good 4/5 yrs older but I think that's what I need. He's cool about Isis (he better be, she growls) and the three of us may go to the zoo this week. He's very sweet and a capricorn to boot. (you people ignorant of the astrology ways. we're compatible) I blush when I think about him and get giddy when I'm about to see him. I haven't truly felt this way since I was with Andy. I hope all goes well.
Anyway I do have more to write but I can't keep my eyes open. I do have a tongue lashing for some of you in lj land but that can wait for another entry
