Finally . . .
I watched from the bridge well over 20 minutes as this very active Reddish Egret, over and over, back and forth, chased every movement and bubble in the water, always coming up empty. At first he was quite far away, but as he moved closer, I could see he was determined and not about to give up by any means. When I saw he at last caught a fish, I was so happy! The light was coming from the back side of him making the pink in his bill (and also the fish) just glow.
