[The feed turns on and shows Trisha's room in the clinic.  Her body is covered in a sheet and the only part of her that can be seen is her head and shoulders.  One shoulder is wrapped in bloody bandages.  She's motionless and very, very pale.  It is clear that she's dead.]

[That is, until she takes a large gulp of air, almost choking on it as she ( Read more... )

[Oh good god, he was dreading this. Unohana can't heal dead people. But he's in the room in under five minutes, eyes wide.

Sorry, Dad. He's a little boy again, just for a second. This is terrifying.

But as soon as Dad leaves to get Doctor Mom, Al goes to Trisha's bedside and cups his hand around hers.]

[She doesn't register that it's Alphonse next to her, but she can feel the hands around her own. She attempts to give the hands a squeeze, but it isn't much. She's in so much pain right now, the twitch of her hand is the best she can do.]

Dad's getting Ms. Unohana. [Al's voice is soft, gentle, the voice he uses only when things are very bad and he's trying not to panic.]

Try to breathe slowly, Mom. I'm here.

[She's trying, really she is, but the pain of trying to breathe combined with not getting enough oxygen in the gasps of breath she is getting, Trisha is having some trouble controlling her breathing. Trisha takes in deep breaths, each one seeming to get less air than the last one.]

[The grip on his hands tightens ever so slightly as she struggles to breathe.]

[All he can hope is that she won't start coughing. There are tears blurring his eyes, but he squeezes her hand, willing himself with all of his heart. If only he could take some of her pain and feel it himself, instead.]

It's okay. Just a minute or so... and everything will be better.

[Unohana rushes into the room, as usual the picture of calm and efficiency. She immediately walks to Trisha's bedside, but not on the side Alphonse is, and immediately holds out her hand. The soft, white greenish glow fills the room as it envelops Trisha.]

Give me a minute Elric-san, and I shall stop the pain. Your sons and husband are all here, you will be alright.

[It takes a moment, but once the healing begins, Trisha's breaths begin to calm down. Unohana's healing is working wonders and even a little color begins to appear in her face as Unohana works.]

[She's still weak, but she isn't struggling to breathe anymore. The pain of her wounds also begins to fade away, putting a stop to her shaking body.]

[Unohana examined the wounds when Trisha's body was first brought so she'd know what to do immediately when she'd wake up. It doesn't take her very long to al but completely suppress the pain, and work on knitting bones, flesh and muscles back together, as well as giving a little boost to the immune system to ensure she won't get sick right then.]

You should be feeling better already, Elric-san. Does it hurt anywhere ?

[The pain begins to fade away as Unohana works. Trisha's senses begin to return to her and, for the first time since coming back to life, her eyes open. Her vision is blurry, but she can make Unohana and Alphonse out.]

N-no...the pain...is gone.

A few more minutes, and you shall be as good as new.

[Trisha simply nods and closes her eyes once more, glad that the pain of her wounds was now gone. While the pain was gone and she was alive once more, she still felt weak from her days of being dead.]

Thank you...
