My 7 year old son is a big fan of Dr. Who. This is tough being that we live here in the US and there isn't much DR WHO stuff to be found....Oh sure there are the overpriced toys, (a special thanks to Santa for bringing them!) but try to have a Dr Who themed party, and search for party supplies, well now that is where the fun begins.
So after realizing that to order them from the UK it would cost around $60USD for the shipping and $50USD for the desired items, I figured I would try to be clever and MAKE them! Here is what I came up with:
a TARDIS made from an old water heater box I got from a plumbing company
Dalek (Bingo) game
Dr Who character masks
Dr Who Party Garland
I will let you all know how the party goes tomorrow, considering only 2 of the invited guests actually know anything about Dr Who, and what they know, my son has taught them!
The masks were just images I got off the website, printed and cut out the eyes of. The same with the garland, only I cut them smaller and strung them together with TARDIS blue ribbon. The Dalek game was just the same type of game as bingo using more images from the website.
Our next project will be a Dalek costume for Halloween....MORE FUN!
