Hello, Everybody! Martha, here. For those of you who don't know me as Martha, my name is Jenny. (Loonggg story...All I can say is, when you're going to get a haircut; MAKE SURE the guy/girl cutting your hair knows what you want...LOL.) Well, anyways; Welcome to my journal! In the ensuing entries, I'm sure you will find yourself bombarded with posts of reflection, drama, and excitement--intertwined with such emotions as happiness, sadness, caring, anger, and even perplexity. I hope you enjoy!
Now...the basics. Where to begin? I'm 17, a little less than two months away from turning 18; blonde; and a looming 5'10" tall. I live with my brother (who's even taller), my mom, and my dad. My family and I have a blast together--regardless of the fact that some people I know think it's odd that I actually ENJOY spending time with them *cough* hugo, aaron, and jeff *cough*. I am going to miss them so much next year.
My friends are amazing. I've grown up with some of the coolest people, met alot of wonderful people through school, and some of the most amazing individuals through my youth group. I would name them all, however the list is so long that I'm afraid I would forget to include someone special; and I would hate to upset them. So, to all of you, my friends, you know who you are (i hope)--I love you all. =D
Now, for my activities...hmmmm...I've done a little bit of everything. My passion is music--especially the viola. I have been playing that for years. Additionally, I've sung in school choirs; and played the piano. As I said--I love music. Athletic-wise--swimming. I year-round for six years; and only participated on my high-school team this year--due to both a lack of time, as well as a lack of enthusiasm. I tried basketball in eighth grade, but to no avail; and my level of talent often resorted me to being nicknamed "the water-girl" [not literally; but hopefully you get the picture ;-)] Hmmm...now, my most valued activity has been New Life. My friends at school may make fun of it, pinning it as a "cult", but those who attend know differently. It's truly amazing. Despite the religious aspect, I have made the best friends of my life. There are countless people there who I love more than anyone else in the world. They will, most definitely, be the hardest for me to leave, next year. I honestly don't know how I am going to be able to function without seeing them almost everyday.
Plans for the future? Hmmm...shaky. I have no clue. I did find out, yesterday, however, that I got into my number-one college--Furman University! It took me hours to wipe a huge grin off my face when I found out--In fact, I believe traces of it are still there. I am so happy--I really want to go there! (Money-depending).
Well, anyways, enough about me...leave me a comment and I'll add you to my friends list! C-ya! :-P
