Ah, but one must exhibit caution in such instances! Were I to get carried away, I'm quite certain it'd be the end of me, for I can grudgingly admit that I haven't a hope of keeping pace with for a full evening!
There was some sort of freak accident at the Pentamerone, and all of the magical items from the basement went missing! Naturally, my lamp was the most dangerous of them all, and the Librarians were terrified of it falling into the wrong hands. Naturally, they did what anyone would do in such a situation: they called upon the most successful, skilled lamp hunter in all of history to retrieve it!
Of course, doing so wasn't easy, but I was ready for the risks: I had to cut may way through several villains before I found it, and stole it back for the Atheneum. They were so grateful they even offered to let me keep it, but I refused, because I didn't feel it was fair to everyone else, especially Perry! They also tried to make me the Arabic Librarian, but I didn't want to oust Velvet and instead offered to sign of as her Head Adviser. I pretty much run things now, behind the scenes.
Oh! And then there was the stuff with the mob... See, they'd heard about everything I'd accomplished and they tried to recruit me. I'll admit it was tempting, but in the end I knew it would be the wrong decision. They didn't take too kindly to the rejection, and they came after my loved ones - it's probably a good thing you were out of town for this! Luckily the best they could do was send a bunch of mortal hitmen after me, which wasn't the least bit fair to them, since they couldn't possibly stand up to the tenacity of Aladdin himself!
And that's just a fraction of it! I'm hesitant to tell you the rest, lest I frighten you, or worse, invoke your jealousy...
Such selflessness! I am sure Eleanor was very grateful for your cunning skills and brave heroics, though it was probably for the best that you let Velvet keep her job. You would never have time for paperwork, ¿si? Better to let someone else handle the boring end of things.
¡Dios mio! The MOB? How very dangerous! I am glad to hear you're alright, though I admit I cannot picture you bowing obediently to a Don. Taking orders is not your style, and I do not think you would want to give up your freedom to change professions whenever you have a new brilliant idea! This is probably also for the best.
[A pause.]
I am rarely frightened and never jealous, as you know. Regale me.
Only a few times? I would have expected that to be the number left, not the number taken.

You would not know caution if it bit you, cariño. Not even in flattery.

What have I missed?
