I read a book about 2 years ago that I felt changed my life in some way or another. It's called Night by Elie Wiesel. He's a Holocaust survivor who takes you through a first hand account of what it was like to be a 15 year old boy during this tragic time. For some reason, ever since I read this book, I've felt.....different. Changed somehow in ways I can't explain. Earlier I was browsing the internet and came across a transcript of Elie Wiesel's interview with Oprah and find myself again...changed somehow.
"I have no doubt that evil can be fought. I have no doubt that indifference is no option...I have no doubt that the life of any peron, any person, weighs more than all the books in the world on life...I have no doubt that we are here for a purpose...I have no doubt that the purpose is not only to bring God closer to his creation, but to bring his creatures closer to one another...I have no doubt that faith is only pure when it does not negate the faith of the other. I have no doubt that questions have their own magic. Their own charm. And their own immortality." - Elie Wiesel
And I, Lena, have no doubt that anyone reading this has changed in some small or large way.
That is all.
