(no subject)
last night was my convocation and tonight is my grad. i got to sit next to bob by pure luck of the alphabet. it was nice to have someone to talk to during the ceremonies. it wasn't extremely long, but long enough. extremely boring principal's speech etc etc. it felt weird to not know most of the kids who went across the stage. a part of me felt that i should be graduating with people i've known since elementary or junior high. but i probably would not have graduated at all and possibly not been here at all had i chosen to continue that way. i'm glad i changed schools. i do have a group of awesome friends now. they are supportive enough in their own way, and don't really ask questions that matter. tonight we're renting the largest room they have at the sheraton eau claire and getting drunk, watching porn and swimming. i'm very excited. i'm glad i met these people and i hope we stay friends for a long time. they are all very genuine, and there's no bullshit about caring who we are or what we look like. it's nice to not worry about petty things. much different than what i was used to.
