[she frowns a bit, genuinely confused. Perhaps a little disappointed and concerned, too.] --don't tell me they sent you over here all by yourself. [a beat] Well! I guess it can't be too bad. But you must tell me why you were chosen to greet me, sweetie! I always like to get to know my escorts, you know.

[he tilts his head up at her while she goes on about sendings and chosens and escorts and things. secrets, too--but Chiinah was pretty certain he didn't know any secrets about this lady. pretty certain. and he says so, because it's not polite to just go along with things; what if something happens?]

[he blushes a little under the undue praise, fidgeting and folding his hands behind his back.] Mmn, I'm Chiinah. An'--I don't really know what you were talking about, honest, but...what's your name?

Don't be silly! [she waves her hand dismissively. How could he possibly not know who she is?] It's lovely to make your acquaintance, Chiinah.

[she leans in a bit, pressing her lips together with a smile.] Tell me, sweetie - what's your favorite creature of the Ice World?

[he shrinks, ears drooping a bit. Ice World? he's not sure he's ever heard of that.] Uhm--I. I don't really know, ma'am...you mean like...squirrels and such?

Ooh, squirrels! They are lovely! You have impeccable taste.

Just give me a moment. [she cups one hand over the other, concentrating for a short moment. When she lifts the hand, there's a little ice statuette of a squirrel standing on her palm.]
