it's gonna be underwraps for a bit i think. i'm not sure exactly what the care procedure is going to be like, but they're really good at Stiehl's about telling you exactly what you're supposed to do for aftercare.

it's gonna look all ugly and puffy and gross right after. i'll be sure to take some pictures (or have someone else take pics) after it's done. and i'm going to be home oct 6-9 so i could show it to you in person then.

yah i agree with what kara said up thar. i wouldn't take it personally.

and hooray tattoos!!! i still want to get more. i dont really recall mine being all puffy and gross afterwards, although i did get a kick out of the blood. taking care of it is super easy, all you need to use is stuff for diaper rashes to spread and smooth on it, and pieces of gauze to go over it for a few days. or a week, can't remember which, it's been a while since i got mine. all i can recommend is that if the tattoo is on your back, it pays to have someone help you with all that jazz :P haha

I'll have to get nice and cozy with some of my fellow RA's then so they can help me take care of it. XD

if you go to tattoos and look at the artists, i'm thinking (with the style that my tat is gonna be and the fact that he's the one i've talked to) Andrew'll be the one doing the tat, so yeah. you can click on his picture and see some of his work.

ps they're def not supposed to cover it in plastic either, since it's a wound the tat needs to breathe to heal properly and covering it in plastic causes bad germies to stay and hence promotes infection.
this is not only something i know because i'm crazy into microbio but it's also something the tat artist told me and mom when we talked to them in may.
