More junk...

My birthday was pleasant in every way it could have been. People congratulated me, made me cookies gave me free cake, sang to me. What the point of that crazy birthday song is I just don't know...you've got people singing the same three phrases to you while you stand by and look anywhere except in the direction of the people because you're just that embarrased or feeling awkward; meanwhile, the people singing feel obligated to finish the song because they've already started and once they're done they just go on their way...its amusing. Still, it was all so anticlimactic. I expected something more...foolishly probably; Hedy, in her attempt to be light and silly hit on it most when I talked to her yesterday. And Dror is in crazy Sacramento...it would have been less anticlimactic if we'd gone out like we'd planned to forever ago. But I guess I'll have to wait.

I wrote a poem. Its the first poem I've written since my hardcore boycott of anything poetic since the ninth grade. I felt this one and it came easily. I wish the stupid LJ would let me format it the way I had when I wrote it on paper with all the spacing because the spacing contributed something to it...but it'll only set it up in linear form so bleh.

I haven't written in our journal for a long time Dror. Something is lost their too...but I think its more growth than anything else.
Growing up is hard.
"Let's celebrate the fact that you've lived to be 18 years old" the Furby said.

Saw Elf today. I really didn't think I would enjoy that movie on any kind of level but it ended up being so cute. Will Farrell kills...he goes up that escalator and I just die. Hehe. Tomorrow gonna go see Love Actually and will probably end up wanting it even more...and then Cat in the Hat eventually because I like their marketing and the colors associated with the movie. I don't know if anyone else is ever attracted to movies by their color schemes, but I definitely am. Like, there was this advertisement in some magazine for Cold Mountain with Jude Law and I think Nicole Kidman (but I'm not entirely sure about the actress involved). Anyway, it was Jude Law as the focus of the shot with some tealish and greenish type mountain scenery in the background and then the supporting actress right behind him in kind of a blurry way wearing a bright pinkish type hat. The color scheme was just amazing, and that is my only reason for wanting to see that movie now. Well that and, Jude Law is absolutely brilliant. If anyone has seen "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" - well, that was just it for me. He was pretty good in "Gattica" too. There is much love for Jude Law here. :D

I really feel like going on and on about nothing right now...mostly cause its almost midnight and I'm still up after having done absolutely nothing in the way of schoolwork today even though I have a ton...and, well, I'm not sleepy yet. I made some more origmami flowers and cranes because Lindsay taught me how and I'm kinda obsessed with improving my technique every time I make a new one. I want to learn more. My hands and mind are yearning for something creative to do. I NEED to go to Michaels and buy some beads and strings for necklaces and then some craft stuff and I want to make necklaces and decorate my dorm room with something. The walls have like minimal decoration...but its only glow-in-the-dark stars, which look okay when its dark, but when its light the walls look sterile and I don't like it so much. Its almost depressing. The fridge looks cool, and now there are two origami pots with origami flowers...but the walls need something. OOH!! I just want to decorate something so badly. Watching House Rules every Friday does not help cause they redo their houses so nicely and I just want to redo something in my room. I can't wait till I get my own apartment and then I can decorate it and keep it clean and live in it and and and...I'm a dork.

Alright. The End.
