This swine flu thing is getting kinda newsworthy. I thought it was just blown out of proportion, but I guess it's kinda serious. Someone died, and there are more and more cases in Japan. GEOS canceled all kids classes this week (anyone 18 or younger) so my schedule is 4 classes lighter, so that is a little wonderful. I'm still required to be at work for that time, so that's sucky... on Thursday I now have class from 12-1 and then nothing until 7. However, I plan on bringing my DS or a movie or something to watch on my laptop.
I watched 28 Days Later yesterday so things are a little unreal right now... talk about bad timing to watch a movie on infections wiping out a civilization. I walked to the grocery store today and half the people I saw had masks on for protection. It was very... interesting.
Today was a good day, regardless. I watched countless hours of Sex and the City, Charmed, Queer as Folk, and the season finale of the Big Bang Theory. I also bought sirloin steak at the grocery store for REALLY cheap. I don't even know what "sirloin" means, but it was delish and cheap and I felt like I was spoiling myself.
You know your life is boring when you get excited over cheap meat at the grocery store....
And with that, I'm out.
Oh yeah, Regina Spektor's single "Laughing With" is released tomorrow. I suggest getting it.
