Dear Julia,
I would like to offer you the role of Lancaster's
assistant.
Here's the edited script, some minor changes or
additions might be made during rehearsal but
essentially this is it.
I have attached a copy of the QP charter because I
would also like to extend an invitation to you to join
the company, we think you would be a great addition.
The next meeting is tomorrow [Monday] at 6.30.
Incidentally, you said you had no major conflicts,
please be advised that Edward will run from April 9th
through April 26th.
Rehearsals will be announced after I get everyone's
conflicts. I may also add a one night performance in
Manhattan after discussion with the cast.
Richard
The only thing is I might get into this other play at Columbia's MFA program which would conflict a lot. But that's an awesome dilemma to have. It's a much more awesome feeling than "how many more auditions do I have to go on before somebody casts me in something?" That feeling is lame. So now that I've been cast in two things within like 4 days, I'm thinking maybe the ball that is momentum has started to roll for me.
And yes Lancaster's assistant sounds like a retardo part, but I read the script and not only would I kill the MAIN CHARACTER, but I also kill the guy helping me kill the main character. So I would be a LITERAL backstabber. So it's really a win win situation.
In other news, "There Will Be Blood" is a horrificly fun movie. Daniel Day Lewis is fucking nuts and Paul Dano is amazing to go toe to toe with him. I was really disturbed by the movie but in that great way that makes you love movies and what movies can do to you.
So we'll see if I get in the Columbia thing....or if I get in Alice in Wonderland which I'm auditioning for Wednesday.
Oh and I'm seeing Eddie Izzard Live tomorrow. WHAT?! That's right.
