Feferi
Personality
Feferi is a very cheerful girl who, in general, gets along with everyone. She is extremely patient with people, partially due to her long time dealings with Eridan. She is friendly and willing to do anything to help a friend in need, even if it means endangering herself. She gets excited easily and will make almost any task into some kind of adventure.
Despite being upper class and very rich, Feferi, unlike Eridan, doesn’t believe herself to be any better than lower class people, and it has been a cause for several fights between the two. She believes division between people based on class, race, age, gender, religion, or anything else are all ridiculous concepts and she strives to never discount a person because of those things. This led her to be the first to try for friendly relations with the “trolls’” rival teams in the MMO they played together, as she did with the kids in canon. Very little phases her when it comes to first impressions or scary things, and she even goes so far as to say that the HorrorTerrors in her canon (who terrify most others) “aren’t so bad.”
Feferi is very interested in politics and desires to be in a position to make change when she gets older; perhaps even as President of the United States! Her dream is to use her power to help those in need, by improving services for the disabled, elderly, orphaned, and poor, among others. She already puts that desire into practice by adopting stray animals she finds and allowing them to stay in her house, free to come and go as they please of course. She would never dream of keeping them in cages.
Feferi loves anything related to the sea. She shows this by making numerous fish puns in day-to-day conversation, even saying “glub” occasionally. She’s done it all, from swimming and water-skiing to scuba diving and swimming with sharks. She’s content to spend most of her summers out on Eridan’s yacht, when not doing various charity work or taking care of her strays, of course.
Hidden under all that abounding cheerfulness, Feferi has a mean-spirited and almost vindictive side. While she cares a lot about Eridan, for example, she finds his constant whining and refusal to change his attitude tiring, and when she finally has a chance to dump him in canon, she takes it. She can’t stand people who are mean to others and will gladly stand up to them and rebuke them for their actions. She hates those who realize they have a problem but do nothing to fix their situation, too, and she will drop some of her politeness and even tell them off if she feels they need it. She is also not opposed to teasing people, almost to a point that would seem malicious, though she usually adds a pun or a “just kidding” to take the edge off… even though she sometimes means every word she is saying.
Feferi is a go-getter, determined to get what she wants through any means, as long as it is, in her eyes, moral. She doesn’t slack on her work and never procrastinates. She gets her stuff done so she has more time to hang out with her friends. Her mother’s example has taught her that hard work will get her where she wants to go in life, and she holds to that philosophy. This contributes to her annoyance with those who would rather laze around then do what they need to; she’s all for relaxing, but not while there’s work to be done!
History:
Feferi’s mother was born to fairly wealthy Brazilian parents. She traveled to America for college, however, and fell in love with it, staying to continue a career in politics in Florida. As that career took off, she married a Floridian man and had a little girl, named Feferi.
When Feferi was three, her father died in a car accident, leaving her mother to raise her on her own. Feferi’s mother was strong, though, and somehow managed to juggle a skyrocketing political career while raising her daughter to be a strong-willed, well-rounded girl.
And Feferi did grow as such. As a little girl, she displayed a strong determination and a large empathy for the less fortunate, letting bugs out of the house rather than killing them, trying to adopt stray animals, and leaving acorns in piles for squirrels to gather more easily. Once she began school, while she was friendly with everybody, she took a special liking to those children with disabilities or who had come from a poorer background. This gained her a bit of a negative reputation with the snootier of her classmates, who told her that as a girl with such a well-known, rich, and powerful mother, she shouldn’t waste her time on those “weird kids.” But Feferi ignored them all. Still, she couldn’t seem to get a true “best friend.”
That all changed when she was seven, and her mother agreed to babysit the son of a friend of hers. That boy’s name was Eridan Ampora, and while it didn’t look like he was interested in befriending her, the second he gave her a whale plushie their friendship was cemented.
Feferi and Eridan quickly became thick as thieves, having adventures at events their parents made them go to, staying at each others’ houses when their parents were gone, and generally doing everything together. They spent vacations together (especially on Eridan’s father’s yacht), and shared everything from toys to feelings.
When they got old enough to be trusted with the Internet alone, they happened upon an MMO game called Sburb. They both joined, and it was through it that they met their ten other friends, a group of “trolls” who advanced through the game together. She quickly befriended them all, and, like them, started using her own silly typing quirk in all written conversation. It was also through this game that Feferi met a group of four other kids, named Jade, John, Dave, and Rose. While their “leader,” Karkat, wanted to troll the kids, Feferi wanted to be friends with them. She played against them with the others, though she was did talk to Jade some and was on friendlier terms with her than the others.
As Feferi was entering the eighth grade, her mother was told about an exclusive private middle and high school off the coast of France: no other than Reims Academy. She told Feferi about it, and the girl, learning that they offered more classes that she was really interested in than her current school (things like political science, economy, and more advanced history), and that it was on an island, was eager to go. However, she didn’t want to leave Eridan all alone.
The solution was to get Eridan to come with her. It took some arm twisting, but she eventually convinced him to come along, and they embarked for Reims together.

[The camera comes on to display an especially bubbly Feferi, her smile almost filling all of the screen. She moves back a little, still beaming, and gives a little wave.]
Hi, everyone! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Feferi Peixes, and I’m officially announcing my intent to run for eighth grade president!
Some people think that as middle schoolers, we can’t get things done the way the big high school kids can. Well, I’m here to say that’s a lot of bull fish! We may be younger, but that just means we have more time to make a difference around here, and I want to help with that. Elect me, and I’ll be sure that we get a say in the things that matter around here!
But I don’t want to just do this on my own. I want all of you to help! If I’m elected, I’ll answer directly to you guys. I’ll be the best glubbing representation you could ever hope for.
So vote for me, Feferi Peixes! Thanks guys! [click]

“Ahhhhh, this water feels greeeeeeat!”
Feferi splashed back into the pool, letting the water rush in over her head. It felt good to relax like this after a long day of work - not just class work, but there was her campaign to get ready for, and of course Eridan. She cared so much for her best friend, but honestly! Always some kind of problem with him.
Emotions and feelings.
She frowned and sank back under water again, staring up at the distorted ceiling for a moment before flipping over and swimming across to the other side. She needed to stop thinking about stressful things; she was supposed to be relaxing!
A few more laps and she was in a rhythm, forgetting about her troubles and instead enjoying the feeling of her arms as they cut through the water. Once again, she wished she were a fish, so she could live under the water all the time.
But unfortunately she was not a fish, so she had to come up to breathe SOMETIME. And it was when she did that she saw, to her surprise, someone else at the pool.
“Oh! Hi there!”
