Why aren't the mods required to meet AC?We've been asked this question several times over the past two months, so we thought it would probably be a good idea to put the answer up where everyone can see it. In addition, some of our players have suggested straight-up stating this in the rules, so that new players are aware of it when they join, so we'll be doing that shortly

If someone is apping into a cast and the character they intend to app might be a deal breaker for those currently playing in the cast, would it be possible for the cast to have a say in the app? This would be in the case of dead characters or love interests, for example. I'm talking about cases where fall-out may be extreme and you would have to change the way you've been playing the character in order to accommodate the castmate.

Definitely! We try to do this as a matter of course anyway...when we're familiar enough with the canon to realize there might be conflicts. Whiiiiich doesn't always happen, So! If there is a reserve or an app for a character you are concerned may adversely affect a character you're already playing in game, please don't hesitate to contact us and let us know. E-mail, PM, IM, whichever method is most comfortable for you.

I'm not sure I understand. Is what you're saying basically that if someone wants to app a character the cast/past CR/whatever doesn't like for whatever reason, you may not be allowed to app that character?

... even in my head, this sounds like odd crit, but:

Have you considered picking up more characters?

I mean, don't get me wrong. I think you're doing great with Une! (And... well, I admit, I haven't seen Dorothy around as much. Am I stalking the wrong logs?) But it seems to me that she's running laps around other characters in terms of activity, and I'm a little surprised you haven't picked up another character or two to invest some of that tagging energy into.

I actually got anon crit on being too active with her at one point. Is this a concern? Do I put her in too many plots or does she get into other people's business too much? It's something that's been making me for nervous for awhile now. 8(

As for Dorothy, I tend to use her to tag people who I can't tag with Une so that may be why you don't see her around as much. I rarely use both to tag the same post.

I would totally app another character but Gundam Wing is the only canon I'm confident enough to app for since I'm not very good at writing apps. 8| I can't app more though considering that I already play two from it.

Well, yes and no. I mean, I don't think you're forcing Une whether she's not wanted or needed. But at the same time, there have been posts that I'm surprised she was interested enough to tag, and presumed it was because... well, you wanted to, and Une was pretty much the only character to do it with. Not ideal, but understandable.

So I don't think it's something to be nervous about. I wouldn't think of it as a problem that needs to be solved, but merely a situation that could be improved.

And... yeah, okay, I can more than understand having trouble apping outside of one fandom. I'm the same way with Lunar -- out of six characters I've played in games in the past few years, three were from Lunar 2. If you could skip the app process and jump right into RPing, though, is there any character you would want to play?

I've been loving Germany so far, and I'm excited to see him in a more "normal" post, when he's less business and more ridiculous tsukkomi.

I think what I love most about your Duo is that you play him as fun-loving, but not a complete idiot or lapdog or one of those other caricatures the fandom tends to categorize him in. He actually seems like the same Duo I see in the series, which is why I was so nervous, yet excited to start CR between him and Midii.

I would like to see a bit more of the serious side to Duo, though. I'm not saying he has to go all emo or lineface on the ship (we have enough castmates to cover that department), but especially with these Purist plots coming up, I've been itching for Shinigami to make an appearance on the ship!~

I really love/appreciate the consistency in your tags. You never really seem to lose sight of the original point and the flow never seems disrupted. It makes tagging you back hell'a easy, even though SF isn't exactly a social butterfly. That's the way to do it, folks.
