S.S. SIGRUN; WEEK TWO! THE SALVAGE!
Okay everyone! Since tomorrow marks the second week on the Sigrun, then it's time for the second part of our itinerary! As of today, everyone will have received a flashing message (think of a pop-up ad!) on their guide! It reads:
Attention all Refugees and Thorizens! As I'm sure you've seen, or at least heard, we're currently investigating the S.S. Sigrun and the disappearance of its entire crew. As of now, we are currently searching for the ship's Black Box in hopes that it will shed light on what transpired before the ship initially disappeared. Unfortunately, many of our own crew are a bit on the jittery side, and refuse to get on the Sigrun! Those big babies! This is where you all come in. We, your captains, wish to commission the aid of volunteers to look for the box. We have some ideas as to the location, and we will dispatch you accordingly. If you wish to do your ship a service, then please come to the Admissions Office to register the services of you and your team!
So, just like the captains asked for, we are accepting volunteers! But as opposed to going to Admissions, just sign up here!
Now, this is the way this particular segment of plot will be handled. As always, this is still open for feedback, and we can adjust accordingly if necessary!
Sign ups
- This post will be used as a general sign up for this part of the plot! You can sign up as many characters as you like, however, for the sake of organization, we are asking that you sign up in teams. Salvage teams should be no less than three people, but can have as many people as you want.
- ICly, a team leader should be elected. This team leader will be the person who is in contact with the mods, and this person will be receiving updates through us on where to search, what they find, etc. Think of it like a D&D game.
Searching the Ship
- As stated above, the team leaders will be in contact with us. Whether it be through PM or through AIM (whichever you prefer), we will give you instructions on where to search, what you will find, what you will encounter. Not all of these encounters will be pleasant! We will be trying to cater to the team make ups, but we do like to slip curve balls in every now and then!
- We will also be using this opportunity to send 'anonymous messages' to certain teams over their guides. Any member can receive these messages at any time, so by signing up, be prepared to potentially receive one through PM!
- At the end of the week, the security code on the Bridge will be hacked by the Thor's captains. This immediately begins the lockdown sequence! Now, just because you signed up does not mean you have to be stranded on the Sigrun for a week. It just means that you might not have been scheduled to salvage that day! Conversely, people who wish to scavenge alone can also opt to be trapped during that week, so really, it's open to everyone!
I believe this more or less covers everything, but things might have been glossed over. Feel free to use this as a sign up post and as a plotting post, as well as a venue to voice questions, opinions, and concerns!
And if you'd like, we can set up logs by teams in the log comm, for the sake of more organization! If you'd like that, then just make a note in your official team sign up comment that you would like a personal log!
