No, Cielo isn't a heavy eater. He just needs to eat demons specifically. It's kinda a rule of Digital Devil Saga. Naoki (yanno, Mr. Demi-Fiend) feeds him demons he can summon. Usually a useless one like a Slime.
If you can contact Naoki on the outside somehow then everything's good, but... actually, being locked in the Holosseum for so long is going to make him go berserk.
