I like this idea! I actually wanted to suggest a plotting post but then i was like ?? aren't we having one soon?

So I think that would be nice, esp since missions just happened and i was thinking like "man should i send all my coworkers and employees a PM...?"

And I just realized like a couple days ago that Holmes was next door neighbors with Kakashi, stuff like that.

BASICALLY i agree with your whole comment and I also need to dig up a list of headcanon things to answer

Maybe instead of like a workshop we should just do the comm? keep the memes on bistro, maybe do some like metaing or just ooc community work/discussion on a plot comm or something am i making any sense

Yes, exactly! Missions happen every month, and with a plot post that's bimonthly, we sort of end up missing a month of stuff we could be plotting with the current set up. And I know not everyone is comfortable sending private PMs and randomly IMing someone they don't know all that well. Having it in an open place may be a little more friendly and might make people feel a little less awkward about initiating contact, at the very least!

I'm all for a comm where plotting and meta goes down! I'd definitely use it.

YES i do love getting prompts, because i think it gets me thinking about what kind of things other people are interested in re: my characters and all that jazz! and when i find out that some people are interested in different sides of my characters i know that i get like SUPER PUMPED and go AWWW YEAH how do we develop this/not develop this/COCKBLOCK, and then we get into a conversation about it so!! that's always exciting and i love metafests because it gives me a chance to be like "oh, this is where I stand with this guy, HUH THIS WAS ACTUALLY EYE-OPENING"

I usually get my mojo back on by playing old videogames I haven't played in forever, or read old threads and go "man I sucked, can I do better" and things like that.

Right now I'm farther than I ever got in Banjo-Kazooie and it feels fantastic?!

This sounds like a great idea. It'd be great to have an excuse to connect with the wider community and maybe force Kabuto to talk to more of the Naruto peeps.

As for suggestions, prompts and headcannon seems like a great idea, but maybe also just a thread with general information about the characters? Sometimes its intimidating to talk to characters (or canons) you know nothing about. Though IC ice-breaker questions would probably work just as well.

This sounds a lot like someone I was thinking about doing. My motivation's been pretty horrendous the last three months or so...

This whole post kinda reminds me of those challenges people do for fanfiction. Like seven colors prompts, or sets of themes, bingo on a chart of prompts, etc etc. Maybe someone could organize (or design) an RP version of this? Memes don't seem to be doing it well enough for me. Powering through a wide variety of short situations sounds like a great way to force the creative gears back into motion.

Sorta related to that, a set of generic-ish prompts could be really cool! Sort of like, this situation happens, how does your character react/write an IC-post around this random theme/prompt or something like that, a la fanfiction ones. Even just reading fanfiction prompts gets me all creative even if I never write it! Plus you never know when one of those little brainstorming sessions takes off and becomes something that happens in game.
