TWO PLOT IDEAS
We have two plot ideas to throw at you, MH! And by we, I mean Robyn and I! Since the first plot is mostly her idea, and the second is mostly mine, and we bounced off of each other.
The first plot is memory based, and it's not fueled by any character in specific! In this plot, a wishing fountain is going to be wormholed (or something) aboard the Thor! It's just gonna be chilling out in public, for everyone to enjoy! However, this fountain will have some... well, magical properties! When your character passes by the fountain, they'll get an uncontrollable urge to wish for something! It'll make you want to wish for things it can grant like maybe extra money or an item you want - so wishing to go home is not applicable! The fountain can't even get itself home, okay. However, when you make a wish, as part of payment, the fountain copies one of your memories! Then, that memory can be seen by someone gazing into the water.
Basically this!
Mechanics of Fountain for Wisher
1. Throw in a coin.
2. Get wish.
3. Give a memory for every wish granted. Your character doesn't get amnesia! The fountain copies the memory so it can "share" it.
Mechanics of Fountain for Passer-by
1. Look into fountain
2. See memories of people who have wished.
Tags will work like this!
1. Wisher will be paired up with Passer-by
2. Wisher can now tag Passer-by as "past self" from memory. Basically, the Passer-by gets sucked into your memory! The Passer-by is not actually interacting with the Wisher. The memory can't be altered. In the memory, no matter how hard you try, the Wisher will not notice you. So tags will be somewhat like this:
WISHER'S PAST SELF IN MEMORY:
-all the memory happenings here-
PASSER-BY:
Hey, hey! What is this place? Notice me! Holy shit, am I a ghost? Did you seriously just pass through me? What the fuck's happening?
WISHER'S PAST SELF IN MEMORY:
-yep, still doing canon things and not noticing you-
Pretty simple, right? And when the memory has been viewed by someone else, the item your character wished for vanishes! If they wished for money? Gone. That kitten that was bestowed upon them? Vanished! That food? --Well, you get the idea.
This plot would be a sign up plot, and we would randomly assign who views who's memories (unless there are specific requests)! You can be a viewer, a doner, or both! If people are interested, we'll have a sign up in a few days!! It would be a giant open log, and each pair would get their own thread.
The second plot proposal is character-based, courtesy of none other than Mieu, of course! This plot happens to be a speed-dating event! Mieu, having many friends, happens to be friends with an alien couple running a speed-dating event for charity. But they're worried about no one showing up to the event! Mieu, being the good friend that he is, will be handing out invitations for everyone to come attend the "Mingling Party" - in other words, the Speed-dating bonanza. Only, Mieu doesn't know this exactly! I mean, he's a cheagle, what the hell is speed dating to a cheagle?
Once arriving, it'll be pretty evident that the party is a speed dating party. But between the fact that there's free food/booze, it's for charity, and the fact that the doors are locked until midnight (as is custom so the daters don't flee after one date gone wrong), they won't be able to leave! Unless they have magical powers that let them teleport places, if that's the case, then by all means.
This plot? Is entirely for fun. In it, you can go on a 'speed date' with anyone who has tagged in! You can go crazy tagging everyone, heck, you can even go on a speed date with a person more than once! Everyone will be able to create their own open thread (essentially their 'table') and tag any other open threads there happen to be! Don't worry if your character isn't interested in dating, really, it's just a great way for characters to meet and interact with one another! There's no sign up for this, it's really that casual, but we'd like to see how many people would be interested in it at all!
The memory-based plot would take place in January, and the speed-date plot would take place in February before valentine's day, so those few weeks of 'desperation' before the big V-day! That is, if you guys like them! Let us know, okay? 8)
