Coffee Break French was a podcast I listened to for a while, and liked. I just never practiced.

I like the name! The French do like their café, after all. ;)

I've heard good things about Rosetta Stone, although I've never tried it myself. I should have, though, before we went to Quebec a few weeks ago. French classes for four year of high school and two years of college were not enough! --A.

We looked into Rosetta Stone, but it was muy expensive! Like, a couple hundred dollars expensive. Which means it probably works, though.

Oh, Quebec! I loved Quebec. Maybe I should go there soon to take the edge off waiting for Paris. ;)

I absolutely second Rosetta Stone. I used it for FREE at the good old Brooklyn Public Library. The only catch was that I had to make (and keep) an appointment for it. Perhaps there's something similar near you?

Really? Now that is interesting. We have a library in Hyde Park that's really nice and new, so it's possible they have something like that. I shall have to check it out!

I was going to chime in that Rosetta Stone is available at the public library (bring Munchkin to do a craft/story while you hit the books?)

Also, you can work your way through the curriculum a la Happy Gilmore. Worksheets in French for kids!
