And now, a brief sojourn from my Spain Travelogue...
This Saturday, I have tickets to the Gentlemen of the Road music festival in Portland, Maine. The only reason I have tickets to this particular festival - which is an hour and a half to two hours away - is because the hosts and headliners are Mumford and Sons WHO ARE AWESOME. I haven't heard of many of the other bands, save Dawes (who are also awesome) and Dropkick Murphys (who I've seen a million times, but are a guaranteed bouncy good time).
According to the 10-day weather report, it's going to be 80 degrees in Portland this Saturday, with a chance of a passing thunderstorm. Ok, you all know where I'm going with this. Wardrobe. What to wear to a day of music in an open-air, grassy, park-like venue? Oh and again: please bear in mind it is PORTLAND, land of stylish hipsters.
So. Do I go with my Wu Dress?
Pros: Cute, festive, light cotton, normal-bra friendly.
Con: Flips up inappropriately with the merest hint of a breeze.
Or my all-time-favorite embossed cotton J. Crew strapless?
Pros: Also cute, also light cotton, does not flip up inappropriately ever.
Con: Strapless bra. All day.
NOW for the important issue of footwear.
Short slouchy boots?
Or all-purpuse Chucks?
Oh, and in case you were wondering (and OBVIOUSLY you were) I am clearly wearing this hat:
Now. Discuss! Or not, it's a free Blogiverse. FOR NOW. Bwahahaha.
(Sorry. Don't know why I got all nefarious at the end there. Must be lunch time.)
