Sore, sniffly, tired.
Vietnamese noodle soup,
where are you? I'm sick.

Ok not my best work, but cut me some slack. I seemed to have been quite suddenly and soundly smacked upside the head with a full-on cold. I did not see this bad boy coming; there were no warning signs. It was a stealthy virus, yo. And now it has me in its achy, snotty grip. Thank God it's Wednesday (aka my work Friday).
I have no time to deal with these germy shenanigans either. Esposo and I have the last of his Barter-System Concert Tickets to use tomorrow (Ben Harper and George Harrison's Son, whose first name I have forgotten). Then on Friday I have tickets to see HP7.1 (Harry Potter 7, Part 1, for all you non-geeks out there). And I HAVE to rally for Harry. I have been rabidly awaiting this movie for ages and no lame-o cold is going to prevent me from fully enjoying the experience. Do you year that, you stupid virus? BEGONE.
At the moment, however, I feel like crap. Shivery, achy, constant runny nose, sneezing, coughing, the works. But I need to power through my last day in the office this week. I've been drinking (decaf) tea and chugging Coke and generally trying to breathe and not fall asleep. Thinking about my upcoming events helps perk me up, though. Especially Harry.
Speaking of Harry, HOW FUN would it be to wear this ring to the movie?

It's like a little bronze Hedwig! And it's...wait for it...$9.50! I know, right? My Sensational Sister reminded me of Delia's the other night when she let me borrow this cute white cardigan with black stars on it. Delia's is geared toward teenage girls, but I think a lot of their stuff is cute and quirky enough for a sassy grown-up (aka: me). Their sweaters are particularly adorable, but I was trolling the jewelry section today.
Besides the owl ring, I was quite taken with this necklace:

It's kind of Bellatrix Lite, no? The carved black rose is super-gothy but its dainty size somehow makes it easier for me to imagine wearing. The price is just as good: $14.50. Gotta love a teen-retailer who realizes that most teens don't have a lot of money.
If you are as intrigued as I am by these wares and, more importantly, their price tags, check out the website
http://store.delias.com/frontpage.do?topnavTrack=frontpage&incmpid=TB And don't be ashamed if you're 30 or above. Cute fashion is for everyone!
Just don't start putting pigtails in your hair or wearing white thigh-highs with plaid micro-minis if you're, say, my age. Even fashion has its limits. As do I.
Ok. Off to suck down some more tea and/or Coke. *sniffle*
